PhD candidate in machine learning algorithms and multiomics data integration in Medical Genomics to join our Bioinformatics (Yannis Duffourd) and OMICS (Antonio Vitobello) groups within the Inserm UMR1231 GAD Team (https://www.gad-bfc.org) at the University of Burgundy. Applications are invited for a three year fully-funded contract.

Candidate’s profile:
Master’s degree in bioinformatics with a strong background in genomics and gene regulation mechanisms;
Knowledge of the principles and methods of bioinformatics analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (e.g. exome-, genome-, RNA-sequencing, Hi-C);
Familiarity with the Linux operating system;
Mastery of a programming language (ideally python);
Experience with GIT repositories, and High-performance computing;
Good statistical knowledge (e.g. distributions, stats tests, data classification, dimension reduction approaches);
Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team composed of bioinformaticians, researchers, and specialists in molecular and clinical genetics;
Curiosity for/knowledge of machine/deep learning methods.
